What do you do when you don’t have the skills to be an architect but appreciate architecture? You become a member of YPA to preserve the past for the future. My name is Christopher Yoest and I am the treasurer of the YPA Board of Directors. Ever since I was a kid growing up near Mars, PA, older buildings have always intrigued me. Who, why, how was this building built? There are many stories to be told of our past in these endangered yet forgotten buildings. That is why am proud to be a member of the YPA to be an advocate in saving these structures for future stories to be told from within their walls.
